About Us

Dillon Aero, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and supports the Dillon Aero M134 Gatling Gun, as well as a wide range of supporting and related products.  Initially, Dillon produced components to modernize the General Electric GAU-2 Minigun.  The GAU-2 Minigun, also known as the M134, had been in service since the 1960’s and was suffering from a combination of innate design flaws, poor spares supply, and no product support.  By the time Dillon Aero began work on the project, the Minigun was on the verge of retirement.

Dillon’s first product, the DAFD-2001 Feeder/Delinker, was adopted by the US Military in the mid-90s.  The Feeder/Delinker addressed several fundamental design and support issues and paved the way for the weapon’s rebirth.  After the success of the DAFD-2001, Dillon systematically redesigned every component of the GAU-2.  This multi-year effort greatly improved the weapon systems reliability and, eventually, led to the creation of an entirely new generation of Minigun, the Dillon M134D.

The Dillon Gatling Gun was accepted into service with the US Army in 2003 and was designated the M134D, replacing the earlier GAU-2C as the standard type.

Since 2000, Dillon’s product line has grown to include high capacity feed systems for the M134 as well as the M240, a wide range of helicopter, naval, and vehicle weapon mounts, as well as a complete line of safety and support equipment for the Gatling Gun.
