Dillon Aero Training
| Dillon Aero offers a three day training class that covers assembly/dis-assembly, operation, and maintenance of the M134D and its various component systems. The training consists of two days of classroom training and one day of live fire range training. Day One of training helps students gain an understanding of the function of the individual gun components and how they operate within the gun assembly. The following topics are discussed during the first day of training: |
| - Theory of Operation - Method of Operation - Immediate Action Drills / Clearing the Weapon - Assembly/Dis-assembly - Safety Procedures - Maintenance Procedures - Ammunition Handling and Magazine Loading | |
| Day Two is Range Day where each student will receive in-depth live fire training. Range training focuses on: |
| - Weapon Safety - Immediate Action Drills - Loading and Clearing Procedures - Weapon Handling - Trigger and Burst Control - Platform Specific Gun Handling Skills - Live firing is performed from the platform that is applicable to the students i.e. land or air | |
| Day Three of training teaches depot level maintenance. Also this final day of training serves as a review of the procedures and techniques learned during the first two days of training. |
